Venice is a painting. Finding quiet alleys and canals that didn’t have names on the big tourist maps was the best part of the city. While usually swamped with people, discovering these hidden pieces of Venice felt like it was just me and the city. The deep green color of the canals, the salt stained brickwork, the undulating facade patterns plunging into the water, and the watercolor walls create a dreamlike atmosphere that isn’t imaginable.
